Advocacy? Check.
Supporting the LGBT community? Check.
$2,500 in startup funds, $10,000 in scholarship money and a mentorship with the Human Rights Campaign? Check.
Mobile giant AT&T and the Human Rights Campaign have paired up to promote LGBT advocacy and support on college campuses with the new Live Proud on Campus campaign.
So how do you apply?
If you’re 18 or over, make a video pitch detailing a LGBT-supportive project that you’d like to see implemented on your campus and submit it to att.com/liveproud. You can apply from now until Sept. 22.
The pitches, which must focus on equality, visibility and acceptance for the LGBT community, will be voted on by the public, and the grand prize winners will be announced on Oct. 16, which is also LGBT Spirit Day.
The three grand prize winners will walk away with a $10,000 scholarship, $2,500 in initial funding, a trip to Washington, D.C. to attend October’s Human Rights Campaign dinner, and a semester-long mentorship with the Human Rights Campaign to help with their project in the spring of 2018.
Sounds pretty sweet to us.
